This Kitchen Garden was designed using hardscape features, such as huge, blocky, flat-topped, all-natural Eagle Mountain Slate boulders, in combination with man-made cultured stone and WoodStone Decorative Rock – Small. The black wrought iron fencing was installed around the perimeter to complete this beautiful, yet functional, kitchen garden space. The home owner then chose a variety of vegetable plants, and beautiful grasses and flowers to fill the raised garden beds.Â

The Eagle Mountain Slate boulders not only provide the “rock solid” and permanent borders for the raised garden beds, but also serve as a wonderful place to sit down, relax, drink a cup of coffee or fresh beverage and just enjoy this garden space on a warm Spring or Summer day. The boulders also created an edging for the WoodStone filled pathways that casually meander throughout the garden.
